A complicated vintage marked by flooding

climate

New growth started very early thanks to the exceptionally beautiful, hot, dry spring. From 20 May, temperatures dropped and slowed growth. The first fortnight of June was colder than average and particularly wetter, which helped to slow the advance seen at the beginning of May. Long and irregular flowering period and late veraison.

harvest

The harvest started a little earlier than expected due to uncertainty about the weather. It started on 7t September and ended in mid-October. On 11 September, torrential rains fell in the region causing major floods, especially in Vaison La Romaine, and disrupting the harvest. Many plots were affected.

characteristics

A surprising vintage because of the diversity of cuvées, and there are various different shades of colours.
Pleasant, supple flavours, beautiful body and dominant aromas of red fruit.
