A year of contrast

climate

Dry winter dragged on and was the coldest for 15 years. The drought continued through spring and the heat sped up growth. Summer began with a heatwave (more than 30°C every day in July) and continued with rainy and cool episodes which influenced the diversity of the harvest (in yield and quality).

harvest

The differences in daytime temperatures and cool nights at the end of the summer were a positive factor in the quality of the harvest (colour, richness and balance.)

characteristics

These red wines were colourful, fine, silky and supple.
