A problem-free vintage
A mild winter soothed with generous sunshine. The flowering period was quick, and the rain, sun and mistral allowed the grapes to flourish without drying out.
The healthy harvest started early (late August) and ran smoothly until 15 October for the later areas. Fermentation went without a problem, and the musts were well balanced in tartaric and malic acid.
These red wines were colourful, fruity (fruit macerated in alcohol), generous, robust and powerful.
