A vintage with instant charm

Winter was cold and the mercury levels yo-yoed through the spring. Flowering was slow and the summer was rather cloudy (even the cicadas struggled to sing) which characterised the evolution of the vineyard.

Heavy rain fell in September. The harvest required strict sorting.

These red wines had bright colours with flavours of morello cherry, guignolet with hints of wild strawberries and cocoa in a silky, fresh texture. These have evolved into hints of candied fruit (orange), spices and pepper in a fairly fluid texture.
